Our Rabbi Yitzchok Werbin
Rabbi Yitzchok Werbin is the Rabbi of Kesher Torah Synagogue, a growing congregation in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
Born and raised in Dunwoody, Rabbi Werbin traveled south to attend the University of Florida, graduating with a bachelor’s in finance.
During a successful stint in commercial real estate, he was inspired to explore Judaism on a deeper level. He traveled to Jerusalem and spent 12 years studying Talmud, Jewish philosophy, and character development, receiving his Semicha from Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg, of blessed memory.
Since returning from Israel, Rabbi Werbin has been actively engaged in outreach efforts as a member of the Rabbinic Staff at Congregation Beth Jacob. He personally leads numerous weekly learning opportunities for large and small groups, as well as individualized study.
Rabbi Werbin’s wife, Sarah, is a talented and inspirational marriage coach, kallah teacher and educator. She is currently an educator for Jewish Womens Connection, and teaches sixth grade Judaic studies at Torah Day School of Atlanta.
Rabbi and Mrs. Werbin met and married in Israel. They are the proud parents of five wonderful children. They are very excited to be cultivating a vibrant community in Sandy Springs.
